Digital Darkroom Workshops
Maximize Your Post-Processing Skills
To get the most out of your photography, you'll want to shoot in RAW to capture the most data possible within each digital image file. Although RAW files provide far more flexibility in regards to realizing your artistic vision, recovering blown highlights, or lifting dark shadows, there is a downside: they will be extremely dull and flat without additional work in the digital darkroom.
Whether you've never used Adobe Lightroom before and want to learn the basics of file management and editing, or you're looking to take the knowledge you already have and elevate your post-processing to the next level, I'm here to help. Click the button below to schedule your one-on-one online workshop, tailored to meet your needs, today!
My Post-Processing Philosophy
I've always maintained that I want my editing to provoke for viewers a sense of the emotions I experienced in a particular location without disconnecting the final image from reality completely. I may remove minor elements that mar the scene - trash, electrical wires, etc. - but otherwise focus mainly on adjusting light, shadow, and color. My goal is not to teach you how to process your images in my style but rather give you the knowledge and skills to leverage Lightroom to the fullest and help you find your own photographic and artistic style.
- $40 for up to 1 hour
- $75 for up to 2 hours (recommended for first sessions)
- $110 for up to 3 hours
All workshops are conducted online via Skype, unless other arrangements are made ahead of time (for instance, if you're local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I may be able to offer an in-person workshop - cost may vary from the above quotes). A recording of your session will be available for download from within Skype for up to 30 days, at no additional cost!
For the best experience, I recommend observing my workflow as I work on one of your own RAW files (don't worry, you'll retain full ownership). This will help you apply what you learn to your own work in the future.
A subscription to Adobe Lightroom Classic CC is highly recommended; please make sure you have installed the latest updates, as well. A Skype account is required unless other arrangements are made in advance.
