Northern and central Arkansas truly embody The Natural State. Growing up in Missouri and vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks, I didn't discover Arkansas's beauty until my late 30s while taking the scenic route back home to St. Louis. In 2019, a friend invited me to photograph waterfalls in Arkansas, revealing stunning sights I never knew existed. Although we missed the spring foliage on that trip, I learned about Tim Earnst, an Arkansas waterfall legend, and eventually returned in May 2024 to capture vibrant images. I'm hoping to avoid another five-year delay for my next adventure!
