San Juan Mountains, Colorado (2024) - This photo was made during a long, slow, teeth-chattering climb to a high-elevation campsite. It was one of those drives where you want to stare at the views along the way, but risk injury or worse by not paying close attention to the road.
As is usually the case with such roads, there was little traffic on the way up so, when this view presented itself to my left, I was able to pull over to make some photos. In a stroke of good luck, the road was also just a smidge wider at this point; that proved valuable as a large pickup truck came climbing up the road at one point, and there was just enough room for them to pass safely.
Besides the hues of the landscape shifting from warm greens in the foreground to cooler blue tones in the distance, complementing the sky (which wasn’t suffering from its smoky sickness on this afternoon), what appeals to me about this photo is the inclusion of the road far below. I normally go out of my way to avoid including human elements but, sometimes, they can serve to help tell a story: in this case, that’s the road I started out on before beginning the long climb of over 2,000’ to an alpine lake and my campsite at 12,000’.

All Artist Series shipments include tracking and are fully insured for their retail value. Complimentary shipping is included for orders within the contiguous United States.

Ready-to-Hang prints are professionally produced in partnership with a trusted fine art print lab and typically arrive within 2 to 4 weeks.
This timeline includes professional production, quality control, and secure packaging prior to shipment.
Smaller sizes ship in reinforced cardboard packaging. Larger pieces are crated in protective plywood boxes lined with foam to minimize movement and reduce the risk of damage during transit.
All Ready-to-Hang shipments include tracking and are covered by the print lab’s shipping and replacement policies. If any issue arises, I manage communication directly to ensure it is resolved properly.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
International shipping is available for all print types. Delivery timelines vary depending on destination and customs processing. Customs duties, import taxes, and related fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Framing Recommendations
Artist Series prints are produced on museum-quality cotton rag paper and are intended to be framed. Professional framing using archival materials is recommended for the best long-term protection. Look for:
- 100% cotton or archival mounting and mat boards
- UV-blocking glass or acrylic
- Acid-free backing materials
Avoid spray adhesives, liquid adhesives, or heat-based mounting methods, as these can permanently damage the paper.
Store-bought frames may certainly be used, especially for smaller prints. However, custom framing will generally provide better long-term protection and UV resistance.
Artist Series prints are allowed ample drying time before shipping. If you prefer, you may wait an additional week before framing, though this is optional.
Handling & Display
To preserve surface quality:
- Handle prints by the edges whenever possible

SHIPPING DAMAGE

- The exterior packaging

PRODUCTION DEFECTS
If you believe your print has a production defect, please contact me within 5 days of delivery and provide clear photographs of the issue.
Production defects refer to physical flaws or material issues that prevent the artwork from being enjoyed as intended. Variations caused by screen brightness, lighting conditions, or personal preference are not considered defects.
If a verified defect is present, I will work directly to ensure the issue is resolved appropriately.
LOST SHIPMENTS
If a shipment is lost in transit, I will work directly with the carrier to investigate and resolve the issue. Tracking is provided for all orders.
ADDRESS ACCURACY
